What a beautiful wedding in Canmore Alberta (quarry lake and miner's hall)... it might have rained the whole ceremony, but the couple made the best of it and it made for some very beautiful photos. Stephanie and Chris were such a fun pair to work with and they put together a truly amazing wedding day!

This was an unbelievable day learning from Christina Craft (funky town photography) who is one of my greatest role models... she did my own wedding photos this year! She is an incredible teaching and after working through a lot of the online tutorials it was great to have a hands on practice day with her. Looking forward to second shooting for her at a wedding in August too.

David was so adorable and even though only 6 days old, he didn't really want to sleep much as he was way too curious about everything going on! Such a beautiful family and I can sense the sibling love growing already :) Not sure why, but seemed to pick all black and white's as my favourite from this shoot.

February 15, 2014 - Kim and Craig's Wedding
This was the very first wedding I have photographed so I might just have to share a few more pictures than usual :) This day was beyond magical! I love when couples take time to plan a very unique wedding day that really captures who they are as a couple and that is exactly what Kim and Craig decided to. They snowshoed/skied into a peaceful and beautiful spot up in Kananaskis with just a few of their closest family and friends to say their vows surrounded by the mountains that are so important to them. As I said, Magical is the word that comes to mind for their ceremony! This was followed by a great celebration at Miner's hall with more of their favourite people in life and truly was a day to celebrate for everyone!

I had a fun winter afternoon out with Lindsay, Ian, and their adorable 4 month old Golden Retriever, Brooklyn :) I absolutely love when people want photos of them with their fur-children and Brooklyn turned out to be quite the model in a few of these pictures!

June 22, 2013 - The adventure begins :)
I started my photography business 3 years ago and created this website at that time... however, not even my closest family and friends knew about it. It's time for me to take the next step. My confidence has grown over the years, thanks to my patient models (Sally, Blake, Paxton, Krista, Dave, Raya, Ben, Cal, Julie, and Aley), my friends and family (Mom, Dad, Sarah, Kim, Craig, etc etc etc) who were willing to go out on countless mountain and travel adventures... often taking a few more hours than they would have liked just so I could seek out the best photo opportunities, the professionals that have helped me learn an incredible amount about passion and technique (Brad Wrobleski, Greg Gerla, and Renee Hopper), and probably most importantly to my fiancé Paddy for believing that I can do this. And so the adventure begins... I am unbelievably nervous and excited at the same time!!! Please let me know any feedback you have on the website and if you know of anybody looking for a Pro (eeek crazy to call myself that) with amateur prices, please send them my direction :) Thanks for everyone's support!

What a great way for Julie to spend her first mother's day - out hiking in the mountains with her husband Calum and their beautiful baby Aley. Was so privileged to get to capture some of the moments along the way… especially Aley's first rock climbing attempt!
